Memories of Barbados

Rogues' Memories of Adventures in Barbados. Rex Wotton was one of the most   captivating Rogues of Barbados. His spirit of joy and sharp wit enveloped every circumstance.  Sailing to St. Vincent with a friend at age 11 testifies to his sense of adventure. He encouraged others to join him in pranks and daredevil acts, making it seem safe, easy, and a joy.

As an example: When a person tossed a beverage at him, he promptly discarded the components of a white wine cooler over their head. On another occasion, when ridiculed by a comic who made an audacious statement regarding him, he returned the insult by stealing away the comics' renowned environment-friendly bowler hat. Straight past safety, and security as well as the concierge, he walked with a bold air and his beguiling smiling chuckle.

He was a high-energy figure at 5 feet 8 inches, trim and fit, with untidy, tan coloured hair and piercing blue eyes. Not one for formal exercises; he did not run, jog, or do any prescribed . Hard work, and running the West Coast water was his exercise.

Uncannily aware and ready for action, Rex had an air of supreme confidence and was a fearless leader who inspired others to live fully. He was a proficient seaman trained with the British merchant navy, a deep-sea diver, an explosives expert, and a jack of all trades.
